What Would Happen If Donald Trump DID Shoot James Comey?

Donald Trump once said, “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.” Rudy Giuliani this weekend said, “If he shot James Comey, he’d be impeached the next day.” Sure seems like a metaphor those guys kick around all the time. But, it makes you think…what IF Donald Trump DID happen to shoot James Comey. We take you live…to CNN…

Don Lemon: Interesting day in Washington today. We are going to take you right now to a clip from the White House Press Briefing Room. Just a moment ago.

Jim Acosta: Why did President Trump shoot James Comey?

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: We can not at this time confirm that President Trump shot James Comey.

Acosta: There is a video that has already been played over and over that shows President Trump shooting James Comey.

Sanders: This is a tiring line of questions, Jim, and we are going to end the questions with that since you folks can not control yourselves. I will say this, however, President Trump is an honorable man. If he shot James Comey, then the question that you all refuse to ask, but should ask, is what did James Comey do to deserve getting shot? Will you ask that Jim?

Acosta: What did James Comey do to deserve to get shot?

Sanders: Who shot James Comey? This is the first I am hearing of it.

Cut back to Don Lemon in the Studio.

Don Lemon: So, certainly a night that may go down in American history, but, also, a night that we may forget about in a few days because of all the other crazy things that will certainly happen. We have our panel with us to speak about this matter. Let me introduce you guys.

CNNPanel

Lemon: First, we have Rick Santorum. All around stand up guy who has never had crazy opinions that have made us say, “why the hell do people give him the time of day to talk about the issues”. Next, he is an American Singer-Songwriter, guitarist and activist: Ted Nugent. Then, from being a Judge, we have Judge Reinhold. Next, we have a pair of lawyers who have both represented Donald Trump: Rudy Giuliani and Michael Cohen.

Michael Cohen: That’s Prison Mike, Officially.

LemonSmall

Excuse me?

RudySmall

Giuliani: Oh, geez, it’s a silly little bit the guy does. He puts on a bandana and colors in a couple prison tattoos and thinks he is a badass.

PrisonMikeSmall

AM a badass.

LemonSmall

Ok, Prison Mike, Welcome to the panel.

PrisonMikeSmall

yo ok happy to be here. I would like my fee to be paid in a timely manner, or I’ll be back around with the baseball bat, capiche?

Rudy Giuliani Really Feels As If an Impeachment Choice is Looming…

You know, when it comes to the wildly successful Mueller Investigation, that has already resulted in a bunch of guilty pleas and indictments of critical members of the Trump Campaign team, most people hold the best case scenario to be Mueller coming up with the goods that will lead to an impeachment possibility.

Key word there, possibility.

No one thinks that Impeachment is inevitable. It’s just the best possible scenario for people who dislike Trump, right?

Well, there’s one guy out there that makes it seem like Impeachment is very possible as a result of the Mueller Investigation:

Of course, we have to do it in defending the president. We are defending — to a large extent, remember, Dana, we are defending here, it is for public opinion, because eventually the decision here is going to be impeach, not impeach.

– Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani on CNN State of the Union

Let’s take a moment to make a couple things very clear based on this quote:

  1. Giuliani is saying that eventually there will be a decision to impeach or not…and that they want to sway public opinion on that choice. This contrasts very starkly to what Trump should want here: NO FUCKING IMPEACHMENT CHOICE.
  2. Giuliani is a lawyer for Trump. Despite being inept at it and despite Trump in a few weeks likely firing Giuliani and then a few weeks later saying, “Rudy was never my lawyer, ok? Believe me, I would not have Rudy as my attorney. We brought him in to consult for a little bit, alright, but, he was never my attorney. Do you think my attorneys would say the ridiculous nonsense Rudy was saying? No of course not, believe me.”

Giuliani Continues to Struggle

Rudy Giuliani is continuing his bad month. He stepped onto the Hannity program last night and pouted about how Trump can not get a fair hearing.

“The president has a great desire to come forward and tell the truth if he gets a fair hearing,” Giuliani said. “Our job is to make sure that he gets a fair hearing from Mueller. Now, we’re not convinced that he will.”

Source: FOX News

To be clear, Trump has NOT been charged with any crimes right now, so Giuliani may have got himself confused again. So, the “fair” hearing would be a trial. You know, not something that Trump’s counsel should be out here openly rooting for, right? But, then again, Rudy also alleged that Trump could not get indicted or subpoenaed? So, clearly, he has moved on from the “I don’t know the facts” portion of his defense into the “let me try to confuse the public on what the law is” moment.

In other Giuliani news, the NY Daily News reported that the man and 2 of his staffers opened the door on his rickshaw and smashed a pedicab driver. Unfortunately, I have not seen video.

Also, this:

Rudy is getting paid purely in Fox News appearances. And, it still feels like a bit too much.

I Had No Idea Rudy Giuiliani Was An Attorney. Now, I Know Why

Rudy Giuliani prosecuted pivotal cases against the American Mafia. I learned that today when I typed ‘Rudy Giuliani’ into Wikipedia as I was astonished that a.) Rudy was an attorney; and b.) He is (was?) on the Trump legal team.

Last night and today, he resumed his role as Prosecutor, leading a man, Donald J. Trump, straight into a trap that will inevitably result in a Guilty Plea of some kind. Although, someone should likely inform him that defense attorneys usually don’t want to do that sort of thing. I mean, at least not until their client is charged with a crime.

Giuliani went on Sean Hannity last night, and this morning to Fox & Friends. The words that rolled off of his lips can best be described as, “unable to keep up.”

To Review: The President’s previous position, possibly on the advice of his prior legal team or possibly on the advice of his own being a loose cannon nature, had not admitted to knowing about hush money, through Michael Cohen, to Stormy Daniels during the Election.

The New Stategy:

  1. Rudy forces Trump to admit knowledge of payment on Twitter. Confirming a lie.
  2. Rudy compounds the issue by going on Fox & Friends and saying specifically that you would not want something like this to come out during the election. Could hurt if you eventually have a John Edwards-esque criminal charge down the line for using campaign funds to cover up affairs.
  3. Rudy conducts an interview with the Washington Post where he alludes “a few other situations” where payments were made.

This is a bold strategy. They went from “let the government prove a crime they don’t have evidence of” to “here’s a bunch of evidence” overnight.

Honestly, I think Trump is going to regret that moment when all of the White House staffers walked into his office, laid their suit jackets on Trump’s desk, and stated that Rudy could suit up in their place.
